These include frontier workers, (supervisory) directors or people who live abroad and enjoy a Dutch pension or receive a salary. In dealings with the Dutch government, they often require a BSN (\u201cBurger Service Nummer\u201d or personal identification number), e.g. for a Dutch payroll.<\/p>\n<p>As of January 6, 2014, these non-residents can apply for their BSN only with 18 designated municipal offices and no longer with the Tax Authorities.<br \/>\nThe new system is referred to as RNI (\u201cRegistratie Niet Ingezeten\u201d) and is part of the Dutch General Registration of Individuals<\/p>\n<p>Our colleagues at our immigration + relocation department can assist you if so required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Persons who do not stay or stay less than four months in the Netherlands are classified as &#8220;non-residents&#8221;.
