Before said date UK nationals can continue to live, work and study in the Netherlands without a residence permit.<\/p>\n<p>As of 1 January 2021 a residence permit is required. Referring to our earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/limes-int.com\/dutch-residence-permit-all-uk-nationals-and-family-members\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>NewsFlash of 2 July 2020<\/strong><\/a>, we would like to inform you that the IND no longer sends invitation letters since August 2020. Therefore, to apply for a residence permit, one must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be registered in the Dutch population register (BRP)<\/li>\n<li>have a DigiD<\/li>\n<li>receive the post digitally via MijnOverheid, and<\/li>\n<li>have a Dutch bank account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If one meets the above mentioned criteria, a Dutch residence permit must be applied for -online- before 31 December 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UK nationals and\/or their family members living or planning to start living in the Netherlands must apply for a Dutch residence permit prior to 1 January 2021.
